本专业欢迎国内同学报考。以下是一些新的情况：

1. 本专业下学年招生人数20～40人。
2. 学过相同必修课的同学可以申请转学分，这样可以少交学费。
3. 获录取的新生可以申请入学奖学金。
4. 每年按成绩向部分成绩优秀者颁发奖学金。
5. 香港政府已经批准国内学生在港勤工俭学，本专业也会提供与专业有关的工作机会。
6. 已毕业的国内学生有的继续读博，有的担任研究助手，还有的在香港其他教学机构工作。

Master of Arts Student Scholarship (Academic)

Introduction

The Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies (CBS) of The
Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is offering
scholarships to students admitted to our MA programmes in
2007/08 on grounds of proven academic excellence. The MA
programmes include MA in Chinese Linguistics, MA in Chinese
Language & Literature, MA in Translating & Interpreting and MA
in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. Short-listed
applicants for the scholarship may be invited for an interview.

Value of Scholarship
Each scholarship is worth HK$20,000.

Eligibility
Applicants should be able to prove convincingly that they have the ability to succeed in postgraduate studies, usually by showing excellent academic results at undergraduate level.
