any也可以受到疑问特征的成分统治，if引导的从句是个疑问性从句，C具有疑问特征，成分统治any

刘辉，谢谢你！我是胡波，07北大语言学暑期班的同学，还记得吗？ 我其实想问两个any的属性。第二个any是否同样受到疑问句的成分统治而允准，还是受到前一个any的统治而允准？两any之间有逻辑联系吗？

当然记得！     如果后一个any是被前一个any允准的，那么反过来说，如果没有前一个any(one)，后一个any的出现应该带来不可接受的句子。不过我感觉，如果把anyone换成Obama，也不会影响句子的成立。但是如果同时把 if 改为that，结果就不一样了，除非变为否定句：     （1）a. she should know if/whether Obama has made any changes             b.*she should know that Obama has made any changes             c. she should know that Obama has not made any changes 如果（1）里面的判断是对的，那么你原句中的后一个any应该是有疑问的C允准的。至于anyone和any的逻辑语义关系，我的感觉是前者占广域。供参考。

分析的很透侧！ 有一个假设有待进一步验证： Interrogative C 可以成分统治并允准一个从句中的两个any。 谢谢！

if any serves as a universal quantifier with meaning similar to everyone, it is not restricted to occurring in affective contexts. if any serves as a partitive or existential quantifier, it is indeed a polarity item restricted to occurring in affective xontexts. too...to... construction  is a negative-implicated phrase.

1 a. Anyone with an annual income of under 5000 may be eligible to apply.      b. John is more diligent than anyone else in his class.   这里的anyone作全称解读，不需否定词或疑问标记管辖。 2  a. No one dare offend anyone.    b. Can anyone lift a finger. 这里anyone作存在解读，是极性词，受否定标记或疑问标记管辖。

补余之不足，谢谢了！ 又，还有一个问题：any为什么有这两种用法，其中哪一种是基本的？哪一种是派生或引申的？

有篇在linguistic review上的文章（忘了作者是谁了，对不起，大致是1987年，题目应该是any is existential），说existential是any的根本义，因为universal可以包含在existential里边
